After Paul Gibbons sold his offers in Hurst Publishing and Auto Trader, he made the Leaderboard brand and arranged the buy of The Oxfordshire Hotel and Golf Club. The course was planned by American green engineer Rees Jones, and has facilitated competitions including the Benson and Hedges International Open somewhere in the range of 1996 and 1999, and the Brabazon Trophy in 2005.
